Adolescent Psychotherapy
Therapy for Teens (Ages 13+) in Beachwood, Ohio and the Greater Cleveland Area
I provide psychotherapy for adolescents ages 13 and older who are struggling with anxiety, depression, school stress, emotional overwhelm, identity concerns, or family conflict. The teenage years are a period of rapid emotional and psychological development. When teens feel misunderstood, frustrated, withdrawn, or reactive, it is often not “misbehavior” — but an attempt to cope with something they do not yet have the language to express.
Therapy offers teens a space that is private, respectful, and developmentally attuned — where they can better understand themselves and feel genuinely heard.

How Teen Therapy Helps
Adolescent psychotherapy can help your teen:
-
Identify and tolerate complex or mixed emotions
-
Develop healthier ways to manage anxiety, anger, or sadness
-
Build confidence and a stronger sense of identity
-
Improve frustration tolerance at school and at home
-
Strengthen relationships with peers and family
-
Develop age-appropriate independence and autonomy
Through a thoughtful and collaborative process, I help teens make sense of their internal world while building practical skills that support emotional resilience and long-term growth.

A Supportive Space for Growth
I deeply value working with adolescents and understand the balance required between supporting independence and maintaining parental involvement. My approach encourages insight, emotional mastery, and increased self-awareness — while helping parents feel more confident in supporting their teen.
